Whew...it's been awhile!!!

Hey all...it's hard to believe that we haven't posted a blog in 15 days! It seems like just yesterday! Time is flying by so quickly...I can hardly believe that next week, the quaddies will be 5 months old!

We're slowly getting back into the swing of things around the Lemonovich household. Kate was in the hospital for 2 weeks. The RSV swab that was taken came back negative but she definitely had a virus of some sort that sidelined her for awhile. She was one sick little girl. We're happy to say that Kate is back home now and doing pretty well. We recently saw a pulmonologist who diagnosed Kate with bronchiomalacia, GERD and a few other less significant conditions. She is currently taking 2 medications through a nebulizer and takes Zantac for the GERD. She is still on oxygen and an apnea monitor. She is looking much better these days and seems to be breathing a little easier. Kate is so very laid back and sweet. I can't believe everything this little girl has gone through and she is just as pleasant as can be. Our MAGNIFICENT visiting nurse, Marcia, comes every 3-4 days to check on the babies, weigh them, listen to their lungs, etc. I don't know what I'd do without her - other than go crazy with worry! I feel so much better knowing that they've been seen and evaluated and Marcia just adores these little "lovebugs", as she calls them!

All four babies continue to amaze us with their growth, increasing alertness and overall cuteness :) Claire is now officially the biggest girl on the block with Elizabeth trailing and close second and even little John is beefing up! Here's the tail of the tape as of a few days ago:

Claire: 10 lbs, 5.5 oz.
Elizabeth: 10 lbs, 1 oz.
John: 9 lbs, 6 oz.
Kate: 8 lbs, 8 oz.

It's so amazing to see them begin to smile these days. Any smiles they may have given us before were due to muscle twitches or gas! Today, they smile when you tickle under their chin or shake a rattle that they like. They still sleep around 18-20 hours a day but that's even starting to slowly change. Everyone LOVES a bath, except Kate. She cries from the moment you take off her diaper until you redress her. The babies are eating anywhere from 3 oz. to 4 1/2 (Claire is a horse this day - we're definitely in the midst of a growth spurt at sometimes she'll eat 5-6 oz!) They typically eat about every four hours and their nighttime feedings are going pretty well. Nanny Fran is still caring for them during the weeknights through January and John and I are doing the weekends. We'll start doing 7 nights a week in January - PRAY FOR US! :) I'm not sure what we'll do or how we'll do it once everyone starts teething!!! YIKES!

Luke is doing great! My goal all along has been to keep him so busy that he doesn't even know that 4 babies have invaded our household and our lives and believe it or not, it's been pretty successful so far! I've tried to make a concerted effort to spend as much time with him as possible and schedule activities for him with some of his friends, Poppy, cousins Jack, Augie and Same and his "best buddy" Mrs. Barb. He is honestly having the time of his life and it makes my heart smile to see him enjoying himself so much. He occasionally has one of his "put the baby down and pay attention to me" moments, but for the most part, Luke is awesome. He is OBSESSED with Barney (I actually sing along with all of the songs everytime we watch the video!) and we're beginning to start potty training. Wish me luck on this! I can't believe my little baby boy will turn 2 on January 7th. I just love him to death.

We have a few pictures that we'd like to share of the kids, but before we do, I'd like to make a prayer request on behalf of two wonderful men that our family knows quite well who have recently received the difficult news that they are battling cancer. Bill Phillips is the husband of my Mom's cousin, Nancy. Bill is a wonderful man with a big smile and an even bigger heart. Bill not only found out about the cancer diagnosis, but also found out about a serious heart issue in the process. He underwent a 5-bypass heart surgery recently and so far, is doing quite well. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy (one of my WONDERFUL volunteers!!!) and their daughters Amy and Courtney. The second gentleman I'd ask you to keep on your prayer list is David Hutula. David and his wife Mary are a fantastic couple from our church. Dave is an Elder and Mary is the dynamo behind MANY volunteer projects - not to mention the amazing organizer of all of the meals that have been donated to us (she's made more than a few of those meals herself!) Dave had been diagnosed some time ago with cancer and has recently had some additional news that the cancer may have spread to the spine. Please join me in praying that God would bless each of these men with good health, peace of mind and spirit and comfort in knowing that our God, the Great Physician, is right beside them through these difficult times.

And now for the pics...

It's so good to hear from you.

I have been checking in and hoping Kate is ok. I'm so glad to hear she is on the improve.

Your photos are adorable, especially the one of Lizzie asleep with her little hands under her chin.

Luke is a champion. And probably a very good little helper.

All the very best for your 2 friends battling cancer. It is something that affects everyone.

Carrie,

As I'm scrolling thru the pictures of your babes, I'm thinking, "she looks like John (Lizzie), she looks like John (Claire), he looks like John (Jr.) and then there's that darling Kate - YES, Carrie finally got a double!" haha
They are all gorgeous and we're so glad the family is all back together again. We continue to keep you all in our prayers.
